4WD Adventures
Coffs Harbour offers some amazing scenery with the mountains and tracks so close by the beach. You can experience the best of both worlds all in one day if you choose. As Coffs Harbour is halfway between Brisbane and Sydney it is the perfect place to meet up with friends and take in the beauty of the area the 4WD way.
Coffs Harbour offers a sub tropical climate and is surrounded by many state forests and National Parks. Trips into the forest are easily accessible from the resort and after a day out in the bush we can offer 4 star accommodation, a hot spa and BBQ facilities for you to share some of your 4WD stories.
Some of the 4WD trip suggestions include:
- Woolgoolga Hinterland great for the whole family. The whole trip is 60km and visitors should allow 4 – 5 hours for the trip. This trip takes you into the Wedding bells state forest, Mary’s waterhole, Waihoo lookout ( 413 metres above sea level).
- Nymboi Binderay National Park. Located 60 km west of Coffs Harbour the park covers around 1600 hectares. Highlights include rainforest and massive timber stands, old settlements, mills and train relics, swimming and fishing.
- Rover Trail – Mount Coramba. A great local track just a few kilometres north of Coffs and it can be done in an hour or two. The highlights include stunning coastal and mountain views, old growth forests and plenty of flora and fauna.
- Dorrigo/Bellingen via Sawtell. This is a 60 km drive taking you through the coastal strip of Sawtell, the boutique township of Bellingen and then finishing up on the Dorrigo plateau. The highlights include coastal walks, swimming, bushwalking, old growth forest and waterfalls.
We have invested in a local’s guide to 4WD activities in the region and can offer valuable information to guests for a small fee.
